VWD creates the drawings required for a building permit and for a contractor to create an estimate and construct your home.

THE PROCESS

Step 1

Initial Meeting

We start by meeting with you and discussing your desires for your project. In this meeting, we will talk about things such as what you are wanting to build, square footage, and design wishes. We will also provide an estimate for your project. If the project is an addition or remodel, we may need to visit the existing building to assess the structure and measure.

Step 2

Preliminary Drawings

After our introductory meeting, we will create a preliminary set of drawings that include a floor plan and front elevation of the project. We will then sit down with you again and discuss any changes you wish to make to the drawings. We will do this as many times as you need until the drawings are exactly what you want. We will also ask for a preliminary deposit at this meeting. This deposit will be removed from your final total.

Step 3

Final Drawings

Once the floor plan and front elevation are exactly how you wish, we will then create your final set of drawings. This set includes:

Foundation plan
Dimensioned floor plan(s)
Four elevations
Roof plan
Electrical plan
General notes

Your final cost will be based off of this set's square footage.

Step 4

Hand Off

After your final drawings are finished, we will contact you to hand off your drawing set. We will do a quick explanation and summary of each page then hand them off to you to give to the building department, your contractor, and anyone else you may need to give them to. We will send you a PDF of the complete set as well in case you need more prints. Your final payment is due at this time as well.
